Villa Isabella Santa Maria di Sala Reviews
Villa Isabella Santa Maria di Sala Jul 13, 2009
This hotel, which actually doesn’t look like a hotel, but rather a large house, was situated in a large, beautiful park, surrounded by trees and flowers. The hotel was lovely, as it was decorated nicely and was very welcoming. Outside there was a fantastic pool and surrounding area, and a lounge area with nightclub-like lights and dance area. However, the staff was unfriendly, the continental breakfast was one of the worst we had on tour, the rooms were of average size, and was clean, but it was full of mosquitoes, which we spent a good ½ hour killing before turning out the light to go to sleep, and the A/C did not work, which made for a terribly uncomfortable night. From talking to others on the tour, I learned that there are two parts to this hotel, and the other building was even worse, complete with pipes sticking out of the walls, and broken showers and beds. Add on top of that the poor location (which was about 25 minutes from Venice), I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

As my four months in London were winding down, I knew I couldn’t leave Europe without a trip to Italy; I’d always dreamt about walking down those canals with a glass of red wine in my hand and a man on my arm. A bit of…… Venice, here I come! |

We left Rome to head for Venice. On the way we stopped at a great town called Verona. Verona was the setting for Romeo & Juliet. This was a lovely town.
We arrived at the Venice campsite late in the evening. Our cabins are good, except for the …… Venice here we come! |
