Vikri Beach Resort Pangkor Island Reviews
Simple but Clean Jan 09, 2014
Went away for a post-Christmas break with the family, and Vikri was our choice as it caters to large groups of people.
We booked two family rooms that slept 3 guests per room. The biggest room sleeps four. For MYR800 for 6 people, it wasn't too bad, especially in December.
The place is clean and located right in front of the beach. They only offer mini soaps and the tv is practically non-entertaining. You only get one channel to watch, which is controlled by the owners.
On the plus side, the owners are friendly and very helpful when it comes to assisting you with whatever you need. They give pointers and have bikes that you can borrow if you need to get to the centre of town to get food. No, they do not have an in house restaurant or cafe. Instead, what they do offer is breakfast, lunch and dinner upon request. Which means you'll need to order a day in advance if you want to eat before heading out. Lunch and dinner are prepared by the lady who runs the place with her family. She's an excellent cook! And the food is not only reasonably cheap, but fresh as well. Guests in large groups of ten or more can request a barbecue dinner as well.
Besides the beach and related water activities, there isn't much to do but relax, which is what we did to recover from a busy Christmas celebration.
