Vik Camping Vik i Sogn Reviews
Maybe not the most comfortable campground at Sognefjorden but cosy and quiet Jul 08, 2012
Vik is one of those places I always return because its picturesque and you can watch common porpoise there.
Vik Campground is a small place at the west side of town close to the fjord. It's located directly at the road to Arnafjord but it's quiet though due to less traffic.
The reception wasn't occupied when we arrived. A sign told us that they'll come in the evening to collect the money. We missed the lady but it wasn't a big deal for her she came back next morning.
The charge was NOK 150 for one night (no electricity) which was very cheap for Norwegian conditions. Showers weren't included which was NOK 10 per person extra. Hot water for washing up was included though.
A washing machine and dryer was available which was NOK 20 each. This is helpful when you're on a longer trip or traveling with children.
The sanitary building is simple and old and needs a refurbishment but it was ok for us. The hot water was running and it was clean. We didn't need more.
