Vigan Heritage Mansion Reviews
Vigan Heritage Mansion Aug 02, 2008
Staying in the mansion was like living in another era - another century. Vigan Heritage Mansion is indeed a century-old house, 118 years in fact and has been recently restored. Although old, the mansion has modern amenities to boast :)
We learned of the mansion online when Neren and I finally decided to take a trip to Ilocos Sur and visit the historic city of Vigan. It was not an easy decision for us last November since it meant traveling by bus for 9 hours. We were in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan Valley for the week and after facilitating the COP workshop, we decided why not take a trip to Vigan for the weekend before we head for Zamboanga City? And we dragged Ate Deng (from CRS) with us, hahaha.
And so, since the three of us were first timers (how i wish i knew of TravBuddy that time already), we searched for a place where we can stay for the night and that's where we learned of the mansion and we were sure glad we did. It was a great place to stay.
From our room, we can see the Heritage Village and the mansions of the cobbled Crisologo Street from the bar on the roof deck. We were actually just few steps away from the famous cobbled streets of Crisologo which is one of the main attractions of the city.
All rooms are airconditioned and have TV set and hot and cold shower. It was a bit weird tho living in a very old house, creepy, hehe.. But then I always have active imagination - like imagining ghosts looking at us, hahaha.
Anyway, prices in the mansion range from P1, 500 (twin bed sharing) to P 5, 500 (for 10 persons).
They don't have free breakfast tho but you can order for meals and enjoy your food at the roof deck.
