Vienna Reviews

There's plenty to see in Vienna, Austria. For starters, I would not avoid the "touristy" areas just because they are labeled as such, people do go see them for a reason. St. Stephen's Cathedral comes to mind, you really don't want to miss it. That whole downtown area is neat to see, with street performers and such. Moving on, there are three palaces right in Vienna that many people only see from the outside. Well, they are equally impressive from the inside! Schloss Hofburg, Schloss Schonbrunn, and Schloss Belvedere are all worth seeing. They are not nearly as crowded as you would think, and they have more to offer than such a palace tour. Schonbrunn has an outdoor maze, a zoo, great views of the city, a chance to watch apple strudel being made, Schlogg Hofburg has history of the royal family, etc. There's also an often missed Freud museum if you're into that kind of thing. For food, check out one of the weinerschnitzel places in town - you can't go wrong with something the locals love to eat!

I totally agree with everything you said! We even ate dinner in a small restaurant in the wine celler of the Hofburg! I have a review of it on here, it was AWESOME!!
