Victoria Butterfly Gardens Reviews
Jul 10, 2007
As I have stated in my review on the Butchart Gardens: if you are planning on going to one, I'd suggest seeing both. The Butterfly Garden is definately not as expensive as Butchart Garedns but you're also getting a lot less (in some ways). I was a little dissapointed upon arriving to find that it was basically one big room as the brochure did not make it appear that way. But, once inside my dissapointment faded. You're asked to watch a video before entering the "garden" which is boring and I just couldn't sit through. There are several different types of butterflies everywhere, I had many land on me. There is a huge pond with a couple of waterfalls that house many large coy fish, a parrot, another bird that I have never seen before?, and two flamingos. It was like stepping into a humid tropical environment even for a little while. If you enjoy taking pictures of nature such as butterflies, birds, and exquisite plants this should definately be on your itenerary.
