Barranca, una ciudad que crece Dec 29, 2012
Huacho to Barranca are 75 minutes by bus or 45 by auto, I was transported in a station wagon whose starting point was "El Ovalo". Barranca is a port city, capital of the province of same name located 175 km north of Lima. It has approximately 65,000 inhabitants and was created in 1823 as a district politically. It is a thriving city that is growing at all levels. Less messy that Huacho, its people are quite friendly.

On the way, one passes Végueta (where is the Nature Reserve "Albúfera de Medio Mundo"), Supe Pueblo (where are located the archaeological ruins of Caral) and Puerto Supe.

I saw too cows, horses, sheeps ... but I couldn't catch them, when he saw them on one side while the car turned on the camera and left behind, like the other ... for the next time will train my eyes to look at each side of the road :D

I was hoping to be lucky to catch the sunset but the mounds of sand wouldn't let me see it, here I could get the "going to bed" of the sun ..

I hope these pictures show something about Barranca.

A HUACHO ME FUI ... Dec 28, 2012
Because of work I had to go to the cities of Huacho and Barranca, north of Lima, to deliver and retrieve documents and spreadsheets ... had made this trip before but the lure of the trip was lost in the everyday, until today I really noticed the way and places found ...

Huacho, founded in 1571, is a city on the central coast of Peru, capital of the province of Huaura and regional headquarters of the Department of Lima, located in a bay formed by the Pacific Ocean some 148 km north of the city of Lima (2 ½ hours travel, approximately), near the mouth of the river Huaura.

I was not long time in the city, I came, I delivered and picked up the documents and went toward Barranca. Included here are some pictures taken on the road there: just outside the city of Lima, the "Serpentín de Pasamayo" a highway between the hills of sand and the sea, vast areas of cultivation in the sand, and in own Huacho, some houses with ceramic finish instead of paint, some with better results than others, but either way, a matter of taste.
