During our business trips, Mike always spares the time to visit Via Via on Friday night for dinner and jazz music no matter if we've just arrived at the hotels. Serving Western and Indonesian dishes added with local jazz mucisian this cafe's never quiet when I come there.

The last few days have been really busy!
Yesterday Megan and I got up early to do a village tour by Dokar (horse and
cart). I had done this tour 3 years earlier except by bicycle - this time was
far more relaxing. We visited several home indus…via motor bike (scooter actually) which
was a little scary but a lot of fun! Borobodour was extremely hot (the volcanic
rock absorbs all the heat from the sun) and we nearly died. We hired a guide
called Jean who was amusing and taught… Village tour, silver making, Borobodur, cooking, we have been busy! |

Today we did a “Jamu” tour. Jamu is a traditional type of medicine used by Indonesian people to cure a variety off ailments, as well as promoting general wellbeing. We visited a small house and made our own jamu which was supposed to “Incre…Via Via café and ate in the very pleasant upstairs area. We stayed there for ages engrossed in discussions about medical procedures, after death arrangements and equally as morbid topics. Fi and Doogs are here!! They arrived this

eating he headed to Malioboro Mal and shopped at Matahari (big
department store). I bought heaps of shoes that are actually small
enough to fit me! Later… Milas is gone! We drowned our sorrows with Bintang:( |
