Vågå Hotel Reviews
Local hotel at the end of Route 55 (Gaupne to Lom) Aug 24, 2011
We booked this hotel today and it was the cheapest we found on our way. It cost us Kr 1090 for the room including breakfast. Considering the prices of hotels around we thought it was going to be quite a poor selection but we were wrong!
There is nothing really outstanding, but it has its own charm Inside is made of wood and you get the atmosphere of a very local hotel. Actually, I don' t think may foreign people stop here. Almost everyone we met in the hotel are Norwegian.
The room is quite spacious and has a big window so the room has plenty of light. You have a panoramic TV a sofa, a couple of tables and two single beds (today we are sleeping separately hehehhe) There is no mini bar, but you have some vending machines at the hall.
People are very friendly and you can tell we are new in town! :)
They have free connection to the Internet from any room in the hotel and an indoors swimming pool. We will try it tomorrow!
For dinner we had a buffet, which did not have a great variety but it was just what we needed! Although you could tell it was the Norwegian typical food! nothing fancy but it was quite good!
Overall is a place I wold recommend if you don´t want to spend tons of money in any other hotel in the area.
