Constructed in AD 30, this arena is quite something and is well known for being the most well-preserved and for serving as a great backdrop to operas. Certainly, I think it seems much nicer than the famous one in Rome, even if it lacks the historical weight and glamour of the one in Rome. Although the interior has modern seating for the operas, back in the day, the original seats would have accommodated up to thirty thousand spectators rather comfortably. The idea of music being played at the venue isn’t a new one either, as performances were documented around the renaissance time too. If you are in Verona, this is a very worthy sight that is worth seeing and certainly the most beautiful one.
