Great eaterie in Maia Nov 25, 2010
Vermoinho is a lovely little place to eat at any time of the day. Located in the centre of the Maia area of Porto, this place attracts a loyal base of local customers.

The place sells a wide variety of food for pretty much any time of the day. The menu had breakfast items, lunch items and a decent selection of dishes that suffice for a simple dinner. On top of that, you can buy bread rolls and a very wide variety of cakes to take away or eat there. An extensive range of hot and cold drinks are sold (no alcohol), as well as sweets and an ice cream fridge.

There is a decent amount of seating for a good 40 people at least, and a large car park is nearby.

The prices are very good and affordable too. For 2-3 sandwiches, bread rolls, 2-3 coffees and 3-4 cakes, we paid around 12 Euros.

The menu is in Portuguese only, but the layout is pretty universal and the staff will know the odd words in English to help you to decipher what something is!

If you are in the Maia neighbourhood and are feeling peckish, check this place out.

it's a great little place to go to in the Maia area. wherever you are in Porto though, you'll bump into these bakeries that are just as good so don't worry!
