Veniceland
Veniceland Reviews
Mar 16, 2006After wandering aound the whole city looking for a good place to buy traditional Venetian souvenirs (meaning masks, lots and lots of masks) we arrived in Veniceland. This quite large store a few blocks away from San Marco has its in house artists like many other stores but it also seems to offer masks that are authentic and well made, revealing the theatrical heritage of its owners. The place offers a great variety of masks in many styles I haven't seen anywhere in the city and the people inside never seemed honest and open. We ended up buying a few thousand euros in more than 20 masks and everything was shipped to us back to Peru without any problems. I spend some serious time looking for a good place to buy masks in Venice and I feel fully confident to recommend Veniceland, its products and its people. Sorry it has taken me so long to post, I have been busy
trying to get the pictures from all of these trips. Anyway, a few weeks ago, my
roommates Jeff and Mitch, and their friend Bunny, and I decided to go to Venice. We didn't really
have a plan …land on your arms even where they was nothing in it…you would be walking along
and one would land on your shoulder or on the top of your head. It was disturbing
how such a disgusting could be so entertaining. Either way we had fun with… Grand Canals and Dirty Birds |

Day1-Venice!
As my four months in London were winding down, I knew I couldn’t leave Europe without a trip to Italy; I’d always dreamt about walking down those canals with a glass of red wine in my hand and a man on my arm. A bit of…land where dreams really do come true and the body and mind are overwhelmed with awe. Last minute I booked a flight to Venice, not even asking any of my friends if they wanted to join (this trek was just for me), and began one of the most… Venice, here I come! |

Last weekend we ventured over to Italy and visited Venice. Bless EasyJet for making all this travel possible! We arrived on Friday night, and the airport bus dropped us off at the edge of town. All the tiny winding streets, and many, many canals mea…land on you. In fact, there are people that sell grain so you can feed them, and worse, encourage them to land on you en masse. Is it just me, or is this the most disgusting thing you’ve ever heard of? I hate to think… Venice |

Today we expanded our minds by visiting the Peggy Guggenheim Collection which is a Modern Art Museum. It had some really weird stuff but I liked a few pieces. I liked artwork that used other materials not necessarily just paint and canva…landing all over you and you'll have 4-5 on your arm at once trying to get food from your hand. It was a lot of fun although it was scary at first. A little girl with red hair was hilarious… Venice, Italy- Day 2 |

After waking up and having our breakfast, we began to walk the other direction than we had before; towards the Accademia Bridge. On our way there, we came across a lovely small square - my favorite I found in all of Venice. &nb…land again; but this time, it looked like an actual dock for ships with supplies. We sat and looked out at the Canal Di Fusina, and then finally headed back to the Osteria for our lunch. It seemed like a good mix of local… Le Cafe, Across the Accademia to Dorsoduro, and the Mestre |
