I hope I don't get caught by the police after saying this: we spent the night in our RV, while it was parked in front of somebody's house! I took a trip to California this past spring. I stayed in Venice Beach and hung out in LA, Hollywood, and San Diego. It was a great time!!

Third time in USA and second time in Alaska and California because of the Summer Work&Travel program.

San Francisco-Monterey-Yosemite Nation Park-Las Vegas-Death Valley-Grand Canyon-Los Angeles(Santa Monica)

Few years ago I did a 4 weeks trip t the American west coast following an invitation from a good friend in San Francisco. We rent a car and explored some of California's beatifull spots. Later on I did a trip by myself as well taking a Greyhound bus to Seattle. It was a time full of impressions and experiences, a time I wouldn't like to miss.

Our Holidays started with the wedding of Andre and Mindy in San Diego, after which left for Los Angeles. Before ending up in Las Vegas, we visited the national parks of Sequoia, Kings Canyon, Yosemite, Death Valley and Grand Canyon, as well as San Francisco and South Lake Tahoe.

After a few more days on the road and having time swallowed up on LA's freeways, we were in need of some relaxation and, much more importantly, a tan. Our hostel, Venice Beach Cotel, was in a perfect location right on the boardwalk. We got there at around 6pm and it was too late for any sunbathing so we had alook along the boardwalk and back to soak up the last of the evening freak-show. 1 month in the states, with a lot of greyhound and some nice welcome-backs....

Made a road trip to sunny Southern California for 2 weeks. Visits with girlfriends at the beach & time with the parents. The grand finale for the trip is the all day concert "Hootenanny"!!! Sadly, a summer bug has put off the concert :0(

This trip was totally out of the blue, whilst on my Working Holiday Visa in New Zealand, I needed to get away from windy Wellington so I chose this strange combination. I was spoilt with beautiful deserted Motu in the South Pacific and amazed at the Japanese culture, its a Country like no other I've ever witnessed, a place I fell in love with and hope to return very soon.
