![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The Venetian Oct 19, 2006
I stayed at the Venetian in Las Vegas with a group of friends. One in the group had a voucher for a free room, and we were able to upgrade it to a suite for a small extra fee. As there were 8 or 9 of us, that worked out quite well. I don't remember exactly what we ended up paying him, but it was rather reasonable for a suite. Anyway, my opinion is probably a bit different as we did not pay full price.
Anyway, how much can one really say about a Las Vegas resort in a review. They are there to serve you, and that's what they do. The Venetian is beautiful, but so are most resorts on the strip. Our room had two beds - I'm guessing Queen sized, but I'm not positive - plus a couch with a pull out mattress. Those three accommodated six of us, plus there was a pull away bed and other couches and chairs & carpeted spaces, we all found places to sleep. There is a gondola ride which goes from within the building, out to the strip & back. All in all, a good place to stay, as far as themed resorts go. It's location on the strip is pretty good too, near the Wynn and across the street from Treasure Island. Part of the Las Vegas Nevada - October 2006 travel blog |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Great Experience...(but the Casino reeks!) May 09, 2008
We did not stay overnight in this hotel, but we visited while in Vegas, of course. The attractions of the replica of Venice are amazing to see. It can't compare to the real thing, but it's great fun to experience a likeness in the U.S. (we've been to Venice, Italy twice).
The shopping is excellent and although we didn't take a gondola ride, we watched one and the gondolier we saw had the most amazing voice! We ate at The Grand Lux Cafe which was delicious and a very good value. HUGE menu and great drinks. While walking around the casino, I noticed the most nauseating odor. It smells like they sprayed way too much cheap bathroom deodorizer to cover up the strong smoke smell. The two smells together were enough to make me ill! That's the only strike against it...other than that, it's a great experience! Part of the Vegas 2008 travel blog |

I recently stayed at the Venetian and it was my first time. I've stayed at various Las Vegas hotels and this one is definitely the nicest I've ever stayed in. It's very spacious since all rooms are a suite!
The room are equipped with: living room area, 3 plasma flatscreen tvs, a big couch, printer/fax, tub, shower, and a vanity! Not to mention, robes =) The location is great since your on the strip of course. Other great hotels at a semi cheaper costs would be Monte Carlo. I like the location of hte Monte Carlo. It's smack right down in the middle of the Strip and way cheaper than The Venetian. Overall, it was a great experience to stay here. I've always wanted to stay here and I finally got to. |

Though admittedly I haven't been to many hotels in Las Vegas, my first stay was at the Venetian and I enjoyed it so much I don't see the point in trying something else!
It's one of the most luxurious, spacious and comfortable rooms I've ever stayed at in my life. Everything about this hotel is opulent, without the sometimes overboard nature common to "Vegas Hotels". The prices are spectacular - rooms generally run about $180, but if you get on their mailing list, it is not rare to find weekend rates of $129, even lower on weekdays! The rooms are lovely.. but I've found it a bit hard to have any luck downstairs at their casino =) For a good time stretching my dollar, I head over to the Aladdin. Also, there are a handful of excellent restaurants and clubs right on the property for excellent yet convenient dining =) |

I stayed at the Venetian in March 08' and it is by far the best place I've stayed in Vegas. My friends and I were in Vegas to party and gamble on the NCAA tournment. The rooms were huge with two huge flat screen hdtvs in the room and another large tv in the bathroom. This was awesome, not that you spend that much time in the room but this place was great. Our bathroom was quite spacious to say the least. The location is convenient, you can walk right out to the Strip and get on your way. The feel is very up to date. The bars and clubs were tight as well, they would give hotel guest special entry. Even though its a large hotel I never felt that far from anything, it lacked the long walks and never-ending hallways. The service was great and I had no complaints about this hotel at all, top notch all the way.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Luxury on the Strip Jul 06, 2008
As the name implies, this luxury hotel on the Strip in Vegas is reminiscent of the city of Venice in Italy. Recently remodeled and built onto, the hotel is boasted as on of the largest in the world. The Venetian's signature feature is its quarter-mile Grand Canal, a waterway by piazzas and shops on which guests may partake in gondola rides. Performers entertain guests along the Grand Canal's cobblestone walkways. The Grand Canal Shoppes include 80 international boutiques and name-brand outlets. The hotel's casino offers table games, a semi-private high-limit salon, slot and video poker machines, and a luxury race and sports lounge. The five-acre pool deck atop the fourth level of the Venetian tower has three pools, one whirlpool, ten cabanas for rent, cocktail service, and a central bar. I stayed here two years ago for a software convention. Since my company paid the expenses, I enjoyed my stay even more.

This hotel and casino is absolutely amazing. The detailed decorations has been carefully selected and it is not the typical Las Vegas hotel filled with tasteless ornaments. Even though the channels are not the longest, one must keep in mind that there is only limited space. The gondola rides are not completely authentic but still a joy. The rooms are very nice and well equipped. Definitely worth a stay.
