Vending Machines in Japan Tokyo Reviews
Apr 19, 2003
Everywhere you go in Japan you will see vending machines. They have vending machines for everything from soft drinks (soda), tea, coffee, energy drinks, vitamin drinks, juice, cigarettes, ice cream, noodles, rice, hot drinks, cold drinks to porn and alcohol beverages.
At night however they turn the cigarette machines off so that under age high school students can't buy the cigarettes.
If you see a blue oval on the machine that means the drink is cold. If the oval is red that means the drink is hot.
Vending machines take coins and notes.
On a hot summer day nothing is better than coming across one of the many drink vending machines and grabbing a drink so you can take a rest before continuing on with your sightseeing.
One interesting point is that the vending machines are never vandalised.
Gotta love vending machines in Japan.
