Me and my classmates spent a week in Rome on our fieldtrip. We visited Rome, the Vatican city, Neapel, Pompeji and Vesuvius... we had a wonderful week and the country and the people are so amazing ;D

My first visit to the Eternal City. Stayed in a nice pensione near Stazione Lepanto (Osita Line) on Viale Giulio Cesare (Prati). Visited Vatican City a few times, strolled through the Roman Forum, paid my respects at several fine churches, and made some friends. I tossed my 3 coins into Trevi Fountain, with a promise to return one day. Tried my first real gelatto (yum!), my first Campari, and a walnut torte near Borghese Park.

Nice trip, Rome was a double edged sword - lots of history, great food, but not too clean and the labor strikes can put a damper on your visit.
