The South of Italy: Vatican City Travel Photos

Naples, Rome and the Amalfi Coast are beautiful parts of Italy, each with their own brand of charm. Rome is historic: filled with monuments to the great age. The Amalfi coast is dotted with quaint villages with cafes along the water and tiny shops selling locally-produced pottery. In Naples, be careful of the taxi cabs. I inavertantly got in a car that I thought was a taxi-cab. I arrived unnerved but safely.

But that's all I had, so I was going to make te most of it. Though most of the attractions are of walking distance to one and another, but Roma Pass did come in handy especially when I was done visiting Colosseum in the morning, and walked my way up to Trevi Fountain, and decided to jump right back to Colosseum for some night photos - the metro got you there fast. Also, in this trip a visit to the Vatican Museum. Amazing.

Catholics unite
posted by:
Oct 14, 2007 – Jul 26, 2008
I'm sure most visitors here are Catholic, but tourists of all shapes and sizes were drawn here...in large numbers. The line to get inside St. Peter's Basilica was long and all under the hot sun. Once inside, the crowds were distracting from the beauty of the ornate designs and paintings and statues…
