Just a few snaps from one of my trips to Canada.

So the day has come at last, the final day spent entirely within the nation of Canada.  In some ways it feels like the end of my trip,  I am so used to waking up in this great country that leaving it feels like leaving home, and also going home.  So how did I spend the last day here?…

Amazing 4 days trip to the beautiful island of Vancouver. Finding a budget hotel during the weekends was tough. Nevertheless, picked a nice Victorian hotel in downtown just under $100, a few blocks from Chinatown (the old one). Places visited: - Stanley Park - Gastown - Chinatown - Richmond - Asian malls, restaurants, etc - Victoria Island - Butchart Gardens for fireworks! - Legislative Buildings - Inner Harbor - Horseshoe Bay - Capilano Suspension bridge

Today we planned to get up early and leave. That did not happen when you sleep 3 hours every night for your whole trip. We woke up later than we wished for. Now that I've moved to Vancouver I have been trying to check out at much of this beautiful city as possible. Although there's been a fair bit of rain (no surprises there), just about everywhere you look you get a stunning view. Just lovely!

I went for a conference in Vancouver in summer 2007. So I stayed there for some days and then travelled to Edmonton and Calgary as well.

So we checked out of the motel and headed to Grouse Mountain first thing this morning.  We rode the skyride straight up for 8 minutes (the skyride is a little car on a cable).  It was a beautiful ride up with unbelievable scenery especially so the further up we got.  As we passed by …
