Vancouver's excellent aquarium is in the middle of gorgeous Stanley Park. I had a great day there and was doubly pleased to hear that the animals are all rescue ones (I'm not a fan of dragging animals out of their natural habitats for our amusement). The beluga whales were particularly adorable :D

32 states in the US and 8 in Canada. Travelled Canada and the USA from coast to coast within five months. Travelled mostly by train, sometimes by coach. In total 33.000 km (20.000 miles). Started and ended in Toronto. Some other highlights: Montreal, Quebec, New York, Philadelpia, Chicago, Miami, New Orleans, El Paso, LA, San Fran, Yosemite, Death Valley, Vegas, Vancouver, Jasper. Experienced temperatures varying from minus 25 degrees Celsius to +30 degrees Celsius.
