No not really Shirley...it's to small to go through...but I see I will have to go back and take photos of it folded over. The snow get really deep up there in the winter, so when it get heavy it just slides off...so there is less pressure on the bridge.
Hahahahah you guys are funny really...hard thing is that when there is about 30 feet of snow up there..we can't get that far into the trail...and it's kind of hard to find when you can only see the trees...(grin).
But I will go back there and take a pic when I can...I promise. You guys will have to come over here in ohhhhh...say June next year, and you can come with me...I always include coffee, hot chocolate...and maybe hot apple cider...:)
Although I think I can picture what you mean here, I still have a question. Does 'teepeeing' mean the bridge is closed all winter, or can you part the sides like Moses did and then cross the bridge?
I try my best here...see the two very long silver pieces and the bottom of the sides of the bridge...they go up about 3 feet maybe they look like part of the grating that you walk over...they release those sides folding towards each other...then they form a kind of teepee...so when it snows, the grating that you walk on is covered and the snow fall to the side...like a big roof of the cabins...:D okay I may have to go back in the winter:D
