We woke up had coffe at the hostel, but this was not really a breakfast that we would have wished so much. We went to the town and found this cozy caffe shop, took another coffe and the best cake ever - croissants:)))) Then we took the bus and rode back to the Marina, coz we were told by the hostel…

Let me tell ya, when you go to sleep at 6am, 11am comes freakin’ quick! Damn those checkout times! However, I woke on the day of the Crema at about that time...and grudgingly made my way to the shower. I decided to walk around the city and see what I could see. It was a be…

Valencia has a system of 3 lines which usually go out of the city to the far suburbs. What was curious about its metro was water on tracks in one station - Guimera - it seemed to be usual things there, but still looked a bit weird. Is it always so? I have no idea. The other weird thing were the tic…

Wow was today a full day. I spent the first part of the morning negotiating with the Renfe staff. The Renfe is the company that runs the train system. They repeatedly told me that all of the trains to Grenada were full. Finally after speaking with 3 different people I wa…

Valencia has been rather boring. I'm glad I decided to take the later train from Granada and spent another day there because there was nothing much to do in Valencia. I arrived in Valencia at 5.30am in the morning today. Livia and I walked to our hostels together until we had to go our se…

Well, I came to Valencia 9 years ago (a long time for me), and I would like to share things with other travellers about this interesting city.
Valencia is the 3rd most important city of Spain and has an incredible blue sky and the weather is really good.
Valencia is famous because of the paella, a delicious dish made with rice, and also for Fallas, festivities that take place on March, for five days the city turns crazy, and it is almost impossible to sleep.

We liked it straight away, walked in the old part of the town, then parked the car near the river and after dark walked to Ciudad de Las Artes Y Las Ciencias - the city of arts and sciences. Pictures say for themselves, I think.
That night we decided to sleep in the car. I don't know what we were…

It has finally begun and I am beginning my life in Europe. Thank you to all that wished me well before my departure and thanks to all that sang along to the sub-par guitar playing at my farewell. Thanks must also go to Gary Black for the personalised photo which should keep me warm on those lonely …

This past weekend, I went with a couple of my classmates to Valencia. It was a last minute trip, but well worth it. We arrived to Valencia on Saturday afternoon after a nearly 2.5 hour train ride. Once we arrived, we spent a little time trying to figure out how to get to our hotel…

Went on a short 4 day trip to this marvellous city, for my 25th birthday on november in 2006. It's a real nice and busy city. Interesting for fans of Santiago Calatrava's architecture... Ideal to explore the Spanish kitchen with its splendid wines... Not expensive at all. Warm climate...
