Valencia Mansion Bed and Breakfast

This place is unique and deserves a 5 star rating! You cannot be closer to the main hub, and all is very relaxed, glamorous and elegant. We stayed at Valencia Mansion for four fantastic days. It is more like a home than like a hotel. Complimentary wines or Champagne whenever you feel like it. It was perfect! High ceilings in huge apartment, decorated with a million paintings and extensive library. If you are a fan of anonymous hotels, visit the Westin or other 5 star places away from the Carmen centre. But this is a gorgeous private home, just next to theHoly Grail Cathedral on Plaza de la Virgen, with two amazing hosts who will give you all their secret tips for dining hotspots and amazing secluded beaches.It is a very central B &B, so you will meet other guests over breakfast but we where lucky as they where fun and interesting people. The house is very clean and shiny, 4 new fluffy towels twice a day. If you nedd 100 % basic privacy, this is not the lace. But if you, like us, choose a genuine experience, central, arty and full of design, choose this central location. The took us to a secluded beach near Albufera for real great Paella, and told us where NOT to eat. We have enjoyed our stay very gvery much. Thank you Kay and Matt, we will see you next year for FALLAS. PS: They have an all you can drink bar without a price-list, just fill the piggy bank with what you think is appropriate. This bed and breakfast is very central, just next to Plaza de la Virgen in the heart of old center Barrio del Carmen. Eventhough the Victorian Villa looks sooo classy, filled with antique period pieces, art and design, the two boys that run the place are fun and relaxed ex-Amsterdam guys. What I personally found fantastic, is that there is a lot of kitsch crap too (LLADRO SATUES, YUCK) and they took me to the Pinedo beach for very good Paella. All the tourists go to Malvarosa beach in Valencia, but Pinedo beach ( el saler ) is way better. It is a nude beach, with natural dunes next to l´Albufera ricefields and lakes it is gorgeous. First natural nudist beach for me and I have to say it was fun. I booked Valencia Mansion Bed & Breakfast after seeing raving reviews on Trip Advisor. It is a bit more expensive than a less central hotel, and the rooms are not very big, but the personal contact (and champagne all the time) made it a great experience.
