Val Thorens Vacation Guide

Val Thorens is part of the 'Trois Vallees' (Three Valleys) skiing area together with Les Menuires, Meribel, La Tania en Courchevel. This is the biggest skiing area in the world, with over 650 km of tracks. Laying at 2300m, Val Thorens also is the highest skiing destination in Europe, making it a destination that surely has snow (nothing as depressing as arriving at a skiing destination to find out there's no snow.)
Apart from it's ski tracks, it offers good possibilities for off-track skiing, and it has a big 'fun park' for snowboarders, with ramps and a half pipe. A very popular destination among Dutch skiers and boarders, it has several Dutch pary cafes with bad music and lots of beer, and more bars and clubs.
