American diner to the MAX! Jul 11, 2012
V8 Diner is a 50's themed/styled diner in the heart of Sukhumvit, Bangkok. It is the only one in Bangkok, and is on its way to becoming very popular. It is right beside Club Insomnia, and open 24hrs! So its great for a late night meal after too many drinks!

The outside area infront of V8 has recently been upgraded, and they now have an extensive outdoor area, where they have table service. If you have a large group of people with different tastes, they allow you to order from Sunrise Taco's which is next door to V8. There is also shisha available in this outside area (not from V8 - you have to pay separately for this).

I always order the Foot long Chili Dog, with extra onion and cheese, and its delicious - a proper hot dog bun and sausage too (which is hard to find in Bangkok!). My fiance prefers Thai food, and he said the Tom Yum Talay was great, although very very spicy. My friend said their toasted ham and cheese sandwiches were pretty good also. Their vanilla milkshakes are also worth mentioning, although I do not recommend their vanilla ice cream - too sweet and sickly.

One downside - table service can be a little slow if a busy night. They also have a band most nights which play right outside the restaurant, and they show all the major soccer games on their big screen.
