Relatively cheap and decent Disneyland fare Oct 09, 2008
One of the frustrating aspects of eating at Disneyland is that most of the food is overpriced and average tasting. This is especially true if you're eating within the park itself. In that case, rather than spending a ton of money sitting down at a restaurant within the park, it makes more sense to just be cheap and get something like a soup bowl or corn dog, which is more food for your buck.
Downtown Disney, which has more sit down restaurants and is right outside the park, also presents a viable option. Unfortunately, I haven't had the best experience eating at places there, and many of them are also overpriced. Uva Bar, which shares the same building as the more expensive Catal Restaurant, seems one of the better values for your money. You order small dishes tapas style, and the food is more upscale than corndogs. There is also simple but comfortable seating inside on the lower level of Catal. I'd recommend ordering the ribs. They are only $9, and you get a pretty sizable cut. |
