Using Aerobus Air Asia To Reach the City Center Kuala Lumpur Reviews
efficient transportation to reach the city center from KLIA LCT Jul 24, 2012
If you are transiting, have long hours of waiting for the next leg of your trip, and want to explore the city center by all means go!
There are different ways to reach the city; my focus for this review is through Aerobus by AirAsia.
If you want a less expensive fare, take the Aerobus by Air Asia from Kuala Lumpur International Airport Lowcost Carrier Terminal. Ticket booths are located right by the exit door shortly after you passed the custom's area.
After purchasing your bus ticket; you may now walk outside of the arrival building, and proceed to the airport terminal station. As soon as you are outside you'll see buses all lined up just across where you stand. Proceed to platform #2. You may take a seat for a while if bus is not in the queue if it then hop inside. A staff will check tickets as you enter, and later while the bus is moving another guy will walk through to inspect tickets. So, keep those stubs handy and in safety place.
Aerobus Air Asia take roughly an hour to Kuala Lumpur Central Station. Trip schedules are from 6:00 a.m. to midnight and, every thirty minutes of interval.
The bus itself is clean. Seats are comfy. Air-conditioned. As far as I can remember, the trip was almost an hour of uneventful ride, (but smooth.)
The bus stops at KL Sentral Station underground or at lower level.
If you're eyeing to visit the KLCC or PETRONAS Tower, just take another short ride via a taxi from KL Sentral Station. Taxi fare should not be higher than 10.00 Malaysian Ringgit. I check on the net, and taxi fare is still the same since our trip there. If I am wrong, feel free to correct this on the comment box. ;-)
If you are going back to the airport from PETRONAS Tower, take the same route and means of transportation. Trip schedules from KL Sentral to the airport start at 4:00 a.m.
Hey, it's doable! You can do it! ;-)
