Usagi Japanese Restaurant Jun 09, 2008
Last week, I went to the Usagi Restaurant at Kompleks Karamunsing for lunch.
The main reason why I was at Karamunsing was to buy some things. I ordered the Unagi Kabayaki Set. One of the waitressess even gave me free green tea ice cream :o) I thought that was very nice of her :o) The ice cream tasted like those Italian Gelatos at KLCC - mmmm...yumm! :o) The Usagi restaurant is very clean. It is facing Mc Donalds and next door to Singapore Chicken Rice. The name of the restaurant actually means rabbit. I think it’s probably named after the folklore of the moon rabbit. Yes, according to the Japanese folklore, there is a rabbit on the moon pounding mochi :o) The Unagi Kabayaki Set I ordered came with a bowl of rice, miso soup, eggs, vegetables, fruits, and of course a plate of eel. Unagi (eel) has been consumed by the Japanese since the 17th century for stamina. Of course a bowl of rice is served with most Japanese meals. The same goes for miso soup as well. On their menu, they also have sushi, sashimi, ramen, udon, you name it :o) Basically, I had a good meal there. |
