Urbany Hostel Seville (Spain)

This is one of the cheapest hostels in Sevilla, and so naturally attracts the younger backpacker crowd. I thought the price for the bed was good value. You get free internet and breakfast too, which saves you a few euros. Towels can be rented for a small fee too.

The location is meant to be great, but I thought it was average. It takes 5-10 minutes to get to Sevilla Cathedral, but you have to keep a good eye on your map to ensure you make the right turns everywhere. It isn’t a noisy location though, which is good.

The cleanliness is variable. I did see cleaners there, but the bathrooms weren’t always amazingly clean. The bedrooms were acceptable, clean for a dorm room of this size. The room had sufficient space for backpacks and other items too, and provided nicely sized lockers.

The bed was comfortable enough, but the sheeting was a little cold. Having said that, I was used to much warmer weather from Morocco, so their sheeting was probably fine for the vast majority of backpackers!

The service was nothing special. The staff were polite enough but you got the feeling that you were a bit of a number and that they weren’t going to do anything amazing for you. While the breakfast hours were decent, the dining area for breakfast felt a little cramped.

Overall, this isn’t a bad place to stay for a short period and if you are saving up on the Euros!
