Great location, right on tram route! Apr 11, 2011
Perfect location. It's about 15 minute walk to the restaurants on the river... the name of that place is escaping me. It's right on the tram route to St. Kilda, as well as the Victoria markets, and the main streets of the city. The sky deck is a 15 minute walk from it as well. Just perfect.

There is a tours desks, a kitchen, and a bar, everything you can expect from a hostel in Australia. Stayed in a 4 bed, en suite room, and the it was super spacious. The one thing that sucks about this place is it costs 40 dollars a night to stay there, which in my eyes is ridiculous, but it's still a good place, so I guess it's alright.

The staff were very rude to my mother when we were there, she didn't care, but the way they spoke to her was as if they were better than her. If it was me, I would have tore them apart. We made a complaint to the staff, but she never got back to me that she received my email.

Ok beds are well.

One thing I found quite cool was that they employ a lot of hearing impaired people as their cleaners. Very cool.

Great place to socialize, meet people and live (temporarily) Oct 10, 2010
Upon coming down to Melbourne, from Sydney, I asked a few friends for reccomendations for hostels. One friend raved on this place, so I figured I'd check it out! I ended up loving the place, actually meeting a guy I dated for a short time while I was there. Met SOOOO many people at the hostel! Clean kitchen, rooms, common areas. Staff are always happy to help you out (except for the night staff, they can't do much) and you'll always see them around. There's pub crawls, contests, trivia nights, a lounge and a few TV areas. Staff are constantly cleaning, which is REALLY nice. Good location, a short walk to the Melbourne CBD, and trams/Southern Cross rail station is also very close.
