Upper Yarra Reservoir Park Reviews

Good facilities but not much to see here Mar 18, 2008
This park surround the Upper Yarra Dam which supplies water to the Upper Yarra Valley and to Silvan Reservoir. The Dam is fed by water from the Thomson River Dam and has a capacity of 200,000 megalitres.

You can walk along the dam wall and enjoy views of the dam as well as the surrounding forest - the views are nice not spectacular.

The park has good facilities which include wood and electric BBQ's, hot water, camping (fees apply), bicycle tracks, toilets, a wet weather hall and picnic tables.

There are walks you can do nearby however the particular one we chose to take was badly signposted and we ended up going around in circles.

This would be a suitable park to visit for a family gathering, just make sure you bring a cricket set or something to keep everyone entertained:)
