Upper Marlboro Vacation Guide

Founded over 300 years ago, Upper Marlboro was named for an English Duke of Marlborough (an ancestor of Winston Churchill). Today the county seat still boasts its older roots with several historic sites including colonial homes and an archeological dig.
Upper Marlboro sits close to the intersection of Rt. 301 and Rt. 4, the two major thoroughfares of southern Maryland which opens up the entire southern tri-county to visitors. Also, the city is only a short drive from a Metro stop on the blue line, creating easy access into DC.
