Great Fun, Great Views Oct 17, 2012
This experience is really worth the cost. It was roughly £20 for an adult when I visited the attraction. It takes about 1.5 hours from start to finish. I'd really recommend doing at sunset if you can help it.

Once inside, you take a few minutes to watch a safety video, and get kitted out. You are provided with everything, including overalls, a harness and boots (if you need them). You can keep your stuff in lockers. Once you're dressed you're told how to put the harness on. Your overalls will have a special pocket for a camera; otherwise it goes into the lockers.

You'll climb the equivalent of two flights of stairs to the initial walk platform where you'll be told how to climb safely. You attach your harness and begin to climb up. If you're having any trouble, there is a climber that can zip up and down next to you and help you out, so there are no worries!

The walk is steepest at the beginning (base of the arena) and gets shallower as you reach the top. It's the opposite on the way down, where it starts shallow and gets progressively steeper. The walk up and down will take about 10 minutes each. It's not particularly intensive, but there were some people who were squeamish when it began to drizzle because the walkway can become slippery. You have plenty of time to complete the walk, so there is no rush.

You have about 15-20 minutes at the top to take photos and walk around the summit. There is really spectacular views and some general information about the skyline and the o2 arena itself.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, and it's a great experience overall!
