Universal Studios Reviews

I went down there with my friend and his girlfriend during our
christmas break. We were there for new years. It was a blast. There were a lot of people but the park is large enough that it isn't to bad. The Rides: The rides are neat. Universal studios has rides modeled after big name movies like: Jurrasic Park, Back to the Future, Jaws, The Mummy, Twister. Some of the rides are a bit lame but others are ones you just want to go on over and over again. The other park, Islands of Adventures, has the park split up into different themed sections. Each section has one big thrill ride and a bunch of smaller rides. The Food: The food is actually cheap and good. Both parks offer this option of all you can eat for $18. You pay the $18 and you can eat at 3-4 designated locations as many times as you wish. The choices are limited and you get sick of them after a few days but it saves money. You get to choose from burgers, pizza, chinese food, italain food (Pasta stuff), fried chicken. This is the best way to go if you plan on eating at least 2 meals. If you pland on eating just once then this is not worth the money. Tips: If you end up going there during a busy time of the year, GET the Express Pass Plus. For $10 you get to skip the line at any ride. You can do this once per ride. It sucks that it is only once but at least you will get to go on all the rides. You can get away with going multiple times since some of the people will not stamp your card and you can just keep going through. If you stay at the Universal Studios hotel you can skip the line as many times as you want with the room key. This is a great plus but the hotel is expensive so we stayed at a sleep inn just 2 blocks from the park. |

Another theme park, but we decided to take a break from
Disney and head to Universal Studios for the day. If you have time to spare then feel free to visit, but our opinion is that it isn't really a patch on Disney. Oh, and you'll be lucky if everything works as they seem to take rides and restaurants out of commission willy nilly. Highlights are the overall decor, which is very well done, as well as the Men in Black and Shrek 4-D rides. Part of the My Travels in 2005 travel blog |

universal studios. Universal studios was ok but nothing special. Once you have done one, you have done them all really. There were a few good rides, the hulk. The park closed at 4pm, so when we left, we bumped into the crazy woman again, causing… Day 25 - Universal Studios |

W e arrived early afternoon and headed straight for our hotel. It is more for kids but I was excited to see the amenities and their new Water Park , both of them. I wasn’t too thrilled… A brief but enjoyable Orlando visit... |

Take a look at wonderworks here
After our quit tour of Wonderworks we wanted a cup of coffee, being so close to Universal Studios I had the brilliant idea to go there... Not knowing we had to pay USD 12.00 to park the car :-(
We had a nice cup of coffee at Starbucks before heading down to Cinnabon for a Cinnamon roll. The weather wasn't playing… Wonderworks and Universal Studios |

We arrived at Universal Studios around nine and saw Shrek 4-D first; the preshow with the pigs, Pinocchio, and the gingerbread man was cute. We followed up with Terminator 2 3-D. I liked how they combined live actors with the film. ET was next… Universal Studios |

We checked into
the hotel and then took a cab over to Universal Studios for the day. Neither of
us had been to Universal in Florida before so it was a new and exciting
experience. The tours and rides were great. My favorite was the Twister tour,
which set you in the scene of the movie Twister… Orlando: The Swan and Dolphin Resort and Universal Studios |
