This has to be my favorite theme park in Orlando. I have been over 5 times in the past 5 years. Not much has changed in the park except that the Fast-Pass ticket is now $26! It used to be free for 3 attractions per person!
My favorite ride in the whole park is still HULK! This is one of the best roller coasters I’ve been! I have to say, Sheikra, the new one @ Busch Gardens is my favorite. A 90 degree's fall is the best and scariest. I love roller coasters. The dragon's is also great! I like the feet loose. There are 2 different carts and they are supposed to be different rides but I can’t really tell the difference.
Spider Man is a great 3-D adventure with LONG lines but is worth it! Jurassic Park is also great!!! a little different and with a good splash at the end! It’s not the flyer cart located @ camp Jurassic! It is the river ride!
There are several shows, like Poseidon!! Which I think is great and Sindbad isn’t bad either!
My favorite part of the park is the Dr.Seuss Land!! I didn’t grow up with the Cat in The Hat story or watched the movie! But the place is incredible and I love the caro-Seuss-el!!! Is beautiful!! I still don’t get the shirts/sweaters they sell at the park with a ball saying "Thing 1" and "Thing 2"... how does it work???
Another great ride is the Doctor Doom's Fearfall which I call "the tower"!!! I love it!! I get scared when I'm sitting there waiting for them to shoot me 150' and then drop me back but it's all good! At the end! :-)
Ever ride in this park is just great!! The Popeye is good too but get ready to get wet!! In summer is good to get wet but we have cold days in Florida too!! So I don’t want to get near the water in December, January or February. Then March is spring break but the weather is perfect! Sunny but not too hot and it rains in the summer in Florida EVERY day so the roller coasters have to be closed while it’s raining.
The food is just the same you can get at the other parks... just average and expensive. Same as Disney! Although Epcot has great food!! The lines are LONG! Unless you have the Fast Pass and I don’t know how short they get. Most of the rides have an hour wait and I usually have a 90 minute wait for Spiderman. I can never see the whole park in just one day! If you can get the 2 days for the price of one take it! Sometimes they have promotions. Or if you get 2-parks in 1-day you can finish the original Universal Studios Fast and then go back to Islands of Adventure!
Also, outside the parks is CityWalk with many restaurants, clubs, movie theatres, stores, Hard Rock Cafe and the Blue Man Group just opened a show last June. I have to go see them.
