Union Jack Club

This is a hotel available to acting and past military personnel. I found it a good clean basic accommodation. The plus was that it is so centrally located...across the street from exit 2 at Waterloo Station. A walk along the Thames will take you to Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Station. The staff was great, friendly and very helpful. Meals in the dining room were good but there is also a very nice pub (Wellington) right across the street. Lots of history to absorb. Really enjoyed our stay - just 1 night as had to catch a flight next day to Ghana
