Yummy pancakes with an ocean view Aug 18, 2011
Uncle Bill's Pancake House is a Manhattan Beach institution, opening in 1961. It is a very popular restaurant; we ate on a Monday, at lunchtime, and we had to wait about 15 minutes before being seated. You can sit inside or there is outdoor seats available, too, with a view of the ocean. We opted to sit outside.

They have a full breakfast menu, and an extensive pancake selection. I got the blueberry buckwheat pancakes, which were three buckwheat pancakes, perfectly griddles with blueberries throughout. They were really good. Plus, they have fresh-squeezed orange juice that was delicious. I should have gotten the large instead of small!

Uncle Bill's is a fairly inexpensive place to eat. My oj and pancakes, with tax and tip were around $10. And I have this thing for restaurant t-shirts, and they do have souvenir merchandise available.
