The first morning, after fresh coffee and scrumptious still-warm cornetti, we set off to cook in a country villa/hotel in Montefalco itself. Italy was everything that I hoped for ... beautiful, romantic, rich in history, and had the best food and wine that I've ever tasted. Every town had its own character and beauty. I came to love bread, mozarella, olive oil, and sundried tomatoes ... and vino of course!

On my way to Rome to meet a friend, I spent 2 days in Perugia, the home of the chocolate. Despite the fact that I was alone, and it was raining and cold the whole time I was there, I fell in love with this little walled city. I volunteered in a little village called Pescosolido - located right between Rome and Naples - for two weeks(August 25th,2007-Septemer 8th,2007). We lived and worked together with the other volunteers and after work (we worked only 4 hours from 8a.m. every morning - cleaning the rooms/helping Maria in the kitchen or Giuseppe in the garden) then spent the afternoons with the guests. Had a lot of fun - can't even describe...Watch the pics and you'll see!!!:-)
