Ulysses Folk House New York Reviews
A Folk House Apr 21, 2011
Ulysses is a terrific lunch and after work Irish Pub spot, located in the Financial District or Wall Street area of New York City. Ulysses offer live music, great bar food, a fantastic beer selection, a sprawling outdoor and indoor (130-foot bar) seating area.
We walked to Ulysses to have lunch after taking a trip on the Staten Island Ferry to check out the Status of Liberty. I had the sirlion steak with bok choy, and mac & cheese from the meat carvery station. It was too hot that day in NYC for a drink at lunch, so I opted for a water with a slice of lemon. The steak was moist and seasoned well and the vegetables were fresh and tasty. Oh yes, there's also a raw bar during lunch.
This is not my first time to Ulysses, everytime I have visited the wait staff is friendly and fun. The weekend brunch is truely amazing, $20 for an all you can eat buffet and a free drink. The bartenders can make any cocktail you can think of, and offer delicious sliders.
I would recommend Ulysses if you are in the Financial District, Wall Street or South Street Seaport Areas of New York City.
Lastly, lots of large screen television sets are available so that you can catch-up on your football, baseball or tennis scores.
