Uluwatu has the most beautiful temple in Bali, Pura Luhur Uluwatu. The Pura is located at the edge of a steep cliff above the surf breaks in the southern Bali, about 75 minutes drive from Kuta. It is recommended to go there during the sunset when you could also enjoy the Barong Dance show while enjoying the beautiful sunset. There are lots of monkeys that are believed as the guards of the temple.

I joined a group of geologists to explore the vulcanos on Bali and Java. Between this serious work I enjoyed the beautiful country of Indonesia. First we had a group of 8 people, later on 3 girls joint us and we did the rest of the tour with 11 people. One of my last days on Java, I really felt the earth moving. It WAS a minor earthquake.
