Ugu Bigyan Quezon Province Reviews
One of the Best Kept Secrets of Luzon Jul 01, 2011
There was an article that I read in our local newspaper about things you should do here in the Philippines. The title was "25 Things to do in the Philippines.. before fantasizing about exploring other countries", and one of those places to visit is Ugu Bigyan's Pottery. It's part of the Viaje del Sol, a reference route map treading from Manila to Laguna, Batangas and Quezon (these are provinces in Luzon). It's a combination of places with great food and arts.
So, before heading directly to the Pahiyas Festival, we had to check this out. It is not one of those very famous tourist spots that's why we had to go around twice before finding the place. When we arrived there, we were just in awe by how the place looks like. Majority of it are made of clay and are surrounded by beautiful furnitures and antique. We just had to take pictures of everything =) They also give pottery lessons (which we weren't able to do since we are also rushing to reach Lucban, Quezon (where Pahiyas Festival is being held) before dark.
The place is just so condusive for relaxing - especially with the zen-like garden, great for de-stressing after the toxicity of being in the city and eating good, good food. A must especially to those who likes taking great pictures, bringing back history and is a lover of art.
