Uden is a small town, situated in the province of 'North-Brabant' in the south of the Netherlands. Uden has a little over 40.000 inhabitants. The most wel-known bigger cities wich are close to Uden are: Oss, Eindhoven, Den Bosch and Nijmegen. The city centre of Uden is nice for shopping and there are some nice restaurants.

Today I recieved an e-mail from Nel who is in Sri Lanka now and went to check up on my family. She didnt even get to see my mother, just my cousin and my youngest brother. She went to visit the patch (I think this is the word) of land we bought for them, but nothing had happened there, just some trees were cut down and that was it. So Nel asked them about it! 1985 I was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka and adopted by a family from the Netherlands when I was 2 weeks old. My parents Harrie and Ine travelled to Sri Lanka to meet my mother and to take me back home to NL. Since then I have lived here in the south of the Netherlands. My town is not very interesting for tourists I think, we don’t have really big sights or attractions, but it’s an average Dutch town so that does make it interesting for others at the same time.. Abraham & Sarah tradition when somebody turns 50. When somebody turns 50 there is a saying that they have seen Abraham or Sarah. If it’s a man who turns 50 they say he has seen Abraham and when it’s a woman they say she has seen Sarah.
