WWII Submarine on the Fisherman's Wharf Dec 18, 2012
I was immediately glued to this beautiful vessel as soon as I entered the wharf. I would not usually pay 12$ to get to the WWII Submarine, but I wanted to be in the submarines that I have seen in documentaries and movies. Also I wanted to prove myself that 198cm man can fit and be part of the crew at that time. I could get in every part of the sub, beds are bit short (more than a bit) and restrooms are uncomfortable for all...
There is Audio tour that you can take, but I enjoyed the inside without stories. There is an older gentleman in military insignia on the sub that served on WWII crews and he will tell you few stories here and there.
Mechanical complexity of the sub was incredible and beautiful. I loved it !!!
