UC Berkeley

If you're in the Berkeley area, definitely check out the beautiful UC Berkeley campus. A lot of the architecture here is pretty impressive (except for the giant grey concrete block that is Evans, but apparently ugly was the big architectural style of the 80's). In the interest of arousing passions by blatantly stereotyping, one might say that the campus consists of two geographical parts - the nerdy, anti-social north side where math and engineering majors reside, and the still nerdy but perhaps slightly less anti-social south side where most of the humanities majors are.

Fun things to do on campus include: going up to the top of the Campanile (the giant clock tower in the center of campus), listening to crazy people give soapbox speeches, and playing hide-and-go-seek in the main stacks of the library during finals time.
