Armour and Goulash Aug 24, 2008
Down in the cellar of a house on the corner of Skolska and Vodickova, away from the touristy Wenceslas Square, is a little gem of a restaurant. The setting is medieval, as you've got your armours sitting and standing around and some drunk knight left his sword in an alcove, probably after a couple of rounds of Staropramen.

It is a cozy place, which can seat about 100 people, and it certainly has atmosphere.

The food is excellent. They serve salads and vegetarian food, salmon, grilled chicken and what not. But you're here for the Czech food. Try the Old Prague Style Goulash with Bread Dumplings and have a dark Staropramen beer with that. You won't be disappointed, and you'll pay a lot less than in the touristy zones 2 blocks away.

The service is friendly, fast and with a smile. Something you will appreciate. You'll walk out of the place with a smile on your face as well.
