Tyler Overview

Tyler is the called the Rose Capital of America. Everything about Tyler is a rose. It is a city seeing large economic booms. The population has grown to over 105000 people in the last couple of years. There major Medical facilities which have national reputations, a large and respected University, shopping, a great downtown, Caldwell Zoo, the Cowan Center at UT Tyler, the Discovery Science Place, a regional airport and a whole lot of good things going for it.

The climate is pretty consistent throughout the year, which makes outdoor activities enjoyable.

You can find everything you need in this E Texas town located in between Dallas to the west and Shreveport to the east on I-20. Loop 323 is one of the main 4 lane roads around town. get on it, you get almost anywhere in town.

The Rose Festival has to be one of the most popular events for the town. A queen, parades, teas and various other events attract people from all over.

There are great restaurants, great shopping including Broadway Square Mall, plenty of hotels, the only Mercedes dealership in East Texas, many churches, great sports, a great lake, a fantastic winery, all the major TV networks, good schools, movie theaters and a host of entertainment venues. Let's not forget Starbucks.

The cost of living is so good, there are people who commute the 90 miles to Dallas 5 days a week. You can check out the city website at:www.tylertexas.com

I agree with all the above. I just dont care for the traffic problems on loop 323.
