Two Rivers Lighthouse Reviews
Two Rivers Light Jul 06, 2009
What was once one of the few remaining wooden lighthouses, this one was decommissioned and moved in 1975 to a nearby museum. For nearly a century it sat on the main pier guiding ships into the harbor.
What remains there today is the pier light that marks dangerous waters on the point of the Two Rivers lakeshore rather than a harbor guide. Today there is still an active fishing trade, but markedly reduced commercial shipping traffic.
The red and white light is now difficult to get to but may be accessed by the pier from the charter fishing boat launch near the McDonalds. So many charter fishing boats still thrive here so seagulls gather by the thousands in this area making it an impressive site, but dirty for obvious reasons.
