Two Boots Retaurant; named because it represented the geographical shapes of Italy and Louisiana and the flavor of food it is to represent. They combined the cooking of New Orleans with pizza and beer and uses a cornmeal crust on their pies. The original opened on June 24, 1987 at 37th Avenue on the stretch of the East Village.

They have clever names from cult classics for their pizza and a unique taste. Some of the names are the Tony Clifton (mushrooms, vidalia onions, sweet red pepper pesto and mozarella), the Cleopatra Jones (sausage, onions and mixed peppers) the Mrs. Peele (oven roasted veggies, bread crumbs and no cheese), the Larry Tate (Spinach, fresh plum tomatoes, ricotta, & garlic, white pizza), and the infamous Mr. Pink (Marinated chicken, plum tomatoes, fresh garlic, & mozzarella). Oh and if you're lactose-intolerant you can find joy in the no-chees vegetalbe- encrusted Earth Mother, named after Bette Midler.

Just beware...don't go during normal eating times because there isn't much room to eat in the restaurants. Also, be wary because sometimes the service can be lacking...but you will put up with it for the the best slice of pie you'll ever have!

Two Boots is great for the multi type of eaters. There is something there for people who like meat, people who are vegetarian to people who like both. Two Boots adds a little Cajun flavor to the sauce. Mr. Pink is the all time fave. The pizza is thin with a satifying crispy crust
