Twelve Apostles Tavern Princetown Reviews
small but cosy cabin Dec 26, 2012
The Twelve Apostles Tavern is known locally as Talk of the Town Tavern. We were dropped here late at night by our tour rep, since there was no more vacancy for us at the nearby 13th Apostle Backpackers, where the rest of our party staid.
The Tavern is located in the the center of Princetown, on the Great Ocean Road, and caters for the few locals.
We were greeted warmly at the store annex restaurant which also serves as souvenir store and reception and got the key to our lodgings.
The tavern offers two self contained double cabins and one self contained Family size.
We got a double cabin with a double queen size bed. This wasn't most comfortable since I had to share with my best friend, but it was ok for a night.
Our room had both a heater and a fan, so was prepared for all sorts of weather. In the room there's also a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities.
The bathroom was small and basic with just a sink, toilet and bathroom, but was also okay for a short stay.
The Talk of the Town Restaurant caters for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Yet since we had to leave very early, we didn't eat at the premises.
We dind't get to see much of the accommodation in daylight, but it seemed more than suitable to me for a stopover while doing the Great Ocean Road
