Tuscano's Italian Restaurant & Lounge Schiller Park Reviews
Disappointing May 29, 2012
It was going to be my last meal in the States for this time but I was not looking for something special and maybe that why it ended up being like that. I had only decided that it should not be a burger.
I was driving towards O’Hare International Airport from where I was flying some hours later when I saw a sign with Italian food and I felt like it straight away. The restaurant was a typical American small town diner situated a long the main road with a number of parking spaces in front of it. There were some tables outside in the sun but I felt that it was too far away from the waitress and the wind was not as warm as the days before as the temperature had dropped around 10 degrees Celsius since the day before; besides that the planes just flew over the tables every second minute or so, so I decided to head inside.
Inside there was a huge bar that took up most of the space but behind it there was a large room with some tables; there were already around 10 people eating there and I was given a table in the corner but near the entrance. A very talkative waitress addressed me and I order a large glass of coke while I was looking at the menu.
I decided to start with an eggplant and cheese in tomato sauce followed by a Caesar Salad with chicken. None of the dishes were worth while the meal that I had hoped for and I therefore decided to have my coffee at another place.
I turned out that the place was quite popular as a lunch place but I apparently had the dullest dishes of them all.
