The castle or fortress? Jan 16, 2016
Very interesting medieval castle. Due to its architecture and purpose, however, it should be called a fortress! It was built between the thirteenth and fourteenth century as an administrative castle of the Swedish Crown. Object is very big do not remind me any castle in Europe. Despite the damage it had suffered during World War II, it was very well reconstructed. Currently it is used as a museum (you can explore dungeons, castle rooms). Being in Turku really worth a visit!
